The musician and sound designer, Garth Whitcombe was engaged to develop the sound based on the data set of Savin's experiment. It was not intended to directly translate the numbers but rather to use them as a point of departure, while finding intersections in an imaginative way. Since the experiment was designed to measure Hydrogen, the Monad of the sound design related to the resonant frequence of Hydorgen. The closet note in A440 standard tuning is C#, which became the key note, the monad for the sounds. more about Garth Whitcombe's sound link to installation video (interior) |
